Darker My Love is an indie psychedelic rock band based in Los Angeles, California. The band consists of 5 members. Tim Presley, a former member of the band The Nerve Agents and also a visual artist responsible for much of the band's imagery, formed the band in 2004 and contributes vocals and guitar. Drummer Andy Granelli, formerly a member of both The Nerve Agents and The Distillers, co-founded the band with Presley. They were joined shortly thereafter by bassist Rob Barbato, who shares songwriting and lead vocal duties with Presley, and rhythm guitarist Jared "The Sandwich" Everett. Will Canzoneri joined the band on organ and clavinet in the latter half of 2006.

The band has released one EP and three LP's. Recorded in 2005, their debut LP was released on 22 August 2006 on Dangerbird Records. On 28 August 2007, the band released a 12" 45 rpm split record with Denver-based rock group Moccasin, featuring the song "Hair Decisions." The record was the first release on L.A.-based label I Hate Rock N Roll. In Spring 2006, Presley and Barbato became members of the prolific British post-punk group The Fall, and are both featured prominently on The Fall's 2007 album Reformation Post TLC. The second Darker My Love album, entitled 2, was released in the US on 5 August 2008 on Dangerbird Records and roughly a year later in the UK, Europe, and Australia. "Waves" from the album 2 is featured in Midnight Club: Los Angeles and one track from the album ("Blue Day") is also featured on Guitar Hero 5. In 2009, Andy Granelli left the band and was replaced by a rotating cast of drummers; the band's current drummer is longtime Brian Jonestown Massacre drummer Dan Allaire. In 2009, they released another split on I Hate Rock N Roll, this time a 7" with Audacity. Recorded in Northern California in January 2010, the band's third LP, entitled Alive As You Are, was released on 26 July 2010 in the UK and 17 August 2010 in the US and Canada.

The band's name was derived from a T.S.O.L. song of the same name.
